Hello Chamber members and welcome to the first of many regular Blogs not only from us the Chamber Committee but from members also writing guest blogs.
Firstly, let me introduce myself, I’m Kim Batchelor and I’m currently President of the Portishead Chamber. The other members of the Chamber Committee are:
Vickie Hancock – Vice-President. Les Cox – Treasurer. Alex Woodward, Jan Sefton, Ray Mordy and Yafit Davies – Committee Members
If there are any members out there who are interested in getting more involved with the Chamber, new committee members are always welcome. Just make yourself known to one of the above people or myself please.
If you haven’t got the time to get involved on a committee level, please bear in mind, that although the committee work to organise events and represent your interests where needed, it is not just about the committee and what we do; it is about all of us as members engaging and getting involved to create an active, thriving Chamber, that benefits all. So please try to get involved where you can, whether by attending events, joining in Social Media discussions or helping other members with advice.
This first Blog is to give you a quick summary of what we have planned for the year.
More details on the below events will follow and can also be found in the new events calendar on the Chamber website. If you have any business events planned that you would like added to the Chamber Calendar, please let me know.
