Gordano Breakfast Rotary Club
Membership Chair Colin Wring

In the summer of 2014 a small group of people came together to form the Gordano Breakfast Rotary Club.
We meet at 7 am on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month for breakfast at the Gordano Gate Brewers Fayre (BS20 7AD) in Portishead. We alternate hosting a Speaker and dealing with club ‘business’, which is when club members discuss and agree on what projects we engage with.
We are 1.2 million neighbours, friends, and community leaders who come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world.
Our differing occupations, cultures, and countries give us a unique perspective. Our shared passion for service helps us accomplish the remarkable.
Being a Rotary member means being part of a worldwide network of people like ourselves, who give of our time and resources to make the world a better place for everyone.

Portishead Town Council
Portishead Town Council owns and operates three public halls, having some 8 meeting rooms of various sizes, used extensively by local community groups and available for public hire at competitive rates. Furthermore, the Council helps out by awarding grants to community organisations that benefit the town. All public grant expenditure, annual budgets etc. are published regularly and available from the Council offices in the High Street. By prior arrangement, the Chairman can be available to attend any commercial or business event in the Town, wearing the splendid Chain of Office, to greet VIP’s and open a new building or facility.
