Portishead Chamber of Commerce (PCC) is committed to protecting your privacy and takes its responsibilities regarding the security of user information very seriously. This policy explains how we use any member and non-member information and how we protect your privacy.

Use of user information 
We require certain information to process your membership enquiry/application.
This includes your name, address, telephone number, and email address, as well as relevant company information. This information allows us to process your application or enquiry and to send you confirmation of your application or enquiry by email or post.



By joining PCC or attending an event we will send you news updates, details of future events and activities and special offers that may be of interest to you.


Non–Members Information:

If you have been a member in the past, attended one of our events or Shown an interest in Chamber activities we may retain your contact details to inform you of future Chamber events and news. Each e-mail you receive will give you the option of unsubscribing or you can opt out at any time by notifying us that you would like to be removed.

Site tracking 

We use cookies on our website site for WordPress accounts and Google Analytics.
We use these to monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site to better meet the needs of visitors.

Security facts 

It is important to us to keep your personal information safe and we have in place reasonable and appropriate controls to ensure that it remains secure against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorised access.

Disclosure to third parties
The Chamber does not share your information with Third Parties. However, Member information  appears as a directory listing on our website and can be accessed by members and non-members visiting the website. This information usually includes company name, address, website and phone number. It will also include a description of your business if you have provided this to us. If you don’t want your information listed on the Chamber directory you can inform us odf this when joining or notifying us at any other time afterwards.

No other information is provided to third parties without consent.


Ocassionally PCC may send information on third party events/activities if the Chamber Committee feels it is of legitimate/significant interest to Chamber members. We will not pass on your contact information to them directly.
